MEET THE ALLIANCE

We share a city.
Let’s build its future.

We don’t have to agree on everything to work together for the community we call home.

California City Community Alliance connects residents, volunteers, businesses, and local organizations through education, preparedness, health resources, volunteer service, and nonpartisan civic engagement.

Our charitable and educational mission is to strengthen California City and the surrounding communities through community improvement, support and resource connections for veterans and military families, seniors and older adults, people with disabilities, youth and families, and residents in need, and partnerships that help neighbors get informed and involved.

Nonpartisan community education. CCCA does not endorse or oppose candidates for public office or political parties. Our civic activities help residents hear different perspectives and make their own informed decisions.

Founded by David Manzo, Army Combat Veteran and community organizer, CCCA is built around showing up, lending a hand, and helping our neighbors get connected.

HOW WE SERVE CALIFORNIA CITY

Our Five Core Programs

See our cleanup photos
01

Veterans & Military Families

Supporting veterans, active-duty service members, military families, senior veterans, caregivers, and surviving spouses through resource connections, benefits education, community events, mental-health awareness, employment and financial education, and partnerships with veteran organizations, Edwards Air Force Base, and other community agencies.

02

Community Preparedness

Helping California City residents prepare for emergencies, disasters, extreme weather, power outages, and other unexpected events. Programs may include emergency preparedness education, CPR and first-aid awareness, emergency kits, disaster-resource events, and partnerships with public-safety agencies, utilities, healthcare organizations, and emergency-response organizations.

Special attention will be given to seniors, people with disabilities, veterans, families with young children, homebound residents, and other residents who may need additional assistance during emergencies.

03

Youth & Family

Strengthening children, youth, and families through educational opportunities, youth leadership, mentoring, school-supply programs, family resource events, early-childhood activities, recreation, community service, and intergenerational programs connecting youth with older adults.

Programs may also connect families with food, housing, childcare, educational, employment, and other community resources.

04

Health & Wellness

Promoting healthier individuals and communities through health fairs, screenings, nutrition education, physical wellness, mental-health awareness, senior and older-adult outreach, healthy-aging education, caregiver resources, and connections to healthcare and social services.

Programs will seek to improve access to health information and resources for seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, children, families, and underserved residents throughout California City and the surrounding region.

05

Community Improvement & Civic Education

Building a cleaner, safer, more informed, financially resilient, and connected community through neighborhood cleanups, beautification projects, volunteer opportunities, community forums, nonpartisan civic and voter education, financial literacy, fraud and scam prevention, employment and housing resource education, and neighborhood engagement.

This program also includes animal welfare and safety, such as responsible pet ownership, lost-and-found pet resources, microchip education, spay/neuter resources, animal-safety education, and partnerships with shelters, rescues, veterinary providers, and animal-control agencies.

Programs may also address the needs of seniors and people with disabilities by connecting residents with transportation, housing, financial, safety, social-engagement, and community resources.

Our Commitment

Through these five core programs, the California City Community Alliance (CCCA) works to strengthen our community by serving veterans and military families, seniors and older adults, people with disabilities, youth and families, and residents in need, while promoting health, preparedness, financial education, animal safety, civic participation, volunteerism, and community improvement.

One Community. Working Together.

“Be about it.
Put in the work.
Bring the community together.”
